Google Home Mini Vs Amazon Echo Dot(3rd Gen)
When choosing between these two products, the choice will be quite difficult to make, as they are both one of a kind.
Hardware
When talking in terms of Hardware, Amazon's Echo Dot wins this race. Whether you talk about button placements and their function, on the devices or other hardware equipments all are praise worthy.
The sound produced by the Google's speaker is loud for its size but Echo Dot produces sound which is louder for its size.
While Echo Dot has just awesome quality microphone, where as, Google Home Mini has just ok quality microphone.
Amazon's Echo Dot provides 3.5mm jack to connect bigger speakers but Google Home Mini does not have any such output port.
Software
When talking in terms of software, Google Home Mini wins this race.
You know it best, that Google is the largest Search Engine out there in the world. Therefore, Google Assistant provides far more useful features and is more intelligent.
Hence, Google provides better features and function in terms of AI, than Echo Dot.
Price
The prices of both are have a little difference as per their abilities. The Amazon Echo Dot will cost you nearly $50 (or around 3,500 Rupees) where as Google Home Mini will cost you nearly $38 (or around 3,000 Rupees). The prices for both the products seems to be suitable for the number of features they offer.
Conclusion
So at the end its all up to you what you want to buy but you need to keep some points in mind before you make a purchase.
Google themselves must not be satisfied with the hardware and appearance they were providing of their budget smart speaker, therefore, they partnered with Nest to become Google Nest to introduce their future smart speakers.
After their partnership they released their new budget smart speaker Google Nest Mini which obviously tried to be made better than Google previous budget smart speaker, that is, Google Home Mini.
In this addition that tried to fix their hardware issues previously faced by Google Home Mini users. Therefore, this addition is slightly more expensive than Home Mini.
Hence, if you can compromise a little with hardware then, Google Home Mini is the product for you or if you can compromise a bit with software features then Amazon Echo Dot is best for you.
